What my Children Remind Me

My boys could not be more different. My oldest in some regards is quieter. He won’t be the first one to say hello, but appreciates being acknowledged. He processes and analyzes everything. He makes sure you always know how loved you are. He is curious and likes details. He is affectionate.  My youngest is independent. If he can do it himself and without help, he will. He is decisive. He is honest, brutally sometimes, but always honest. He gives affection, and wants affection, but on his terms. He is creative and imaginative. As their mom, I love them the same (SO MUCH) but totally different. Their needs are not the same. They receive love differently.  While they entered this world the same way, and have been raised the same, they are not alike.  They do not process emotion or thoughts the same way.
